The Burning Bridge lives up to expectations with a well developed plot that unfolds from beginning to end. The story includes awareness of gruesome death and mild visuals of war related fighting, killing, and injuries. This book ends in a to-be-continued fashion, so have the 3^rd book on hand.

A Review of the first 35 pages

An assassin, his apprentice, a siege, and a war about to be lost.

Farlander is told from multiple points of view and contains full nudity, extensive killing, references to loss of bladder/bowel control due to fear or death, and vivid descriptions of injuries/death that pay specific attention to the organs/body parts that are being destroyed. 

I did not finish this book and can not speak to the story's quality on the whole.
