When Jason, wiped of memories, wakes on a bus full of people – he has no way of knowing that his arrival has set into motion a series of events that will forever change the world of demigods. Meanwhile, Percy Jackson's disappearance has rocked Camp Half-blood.

The Lost Hero gets off to a slow start as it is told from three different characters' point of view, but once it gets rolling - it's a race to the end. The reader should be aware that the story deals with desired relationships, jealousy, guilt, loss, and insecurity, and also contains implications of nasty injuries and references to heartbreaking deaths/pasts. Overall an enjoyable read with an intriguing series of twists that keeps your brain guessing at the outcome and leaves you itching for the next book.

The Heroes of Olympus series is a consecutive series to Percy Jackson and the Olympians. If you have not yet read the Percy Jackson books and Demigod Files, I highly recommend that you do so as they provide crucial background information and are an enjoyable read.
